With New Year's Eve close, it's time to look back on 2013 and see what 2014 has to offer.

The last few months haven't been easy, actually I think stressful probably sum it up better.

In september I started with my internship and at first I thought it would be very nice and interesting, but it wasn't. It is interesting but after a couple of weeks I started to feel sad, exhausted and a bit lost. Thankfully one of my best friend was there to support me!

But, beside the sad moments I also have a lot of great and beautyful memories.

1. In january my little sister and I decided out of the blue that we would love to make a trip to the US. We didn't make serious plans, but earlier this month we booked the trip, so next summer we are going to America :)

2. In february I started with a really nice internship with people with a mental impairment. I learned so much about communication

3. In may I went on a short vacation to Crete, I really needed to relax and ofcourse the sun. I've had my first real greek salad and thanks to that I like to put feta in all my salads

4. In the the same month I also got permission to arrange an internship in London. It is hard to find something but I keep looking.

5. By coincidence I met tatcherjoe and mynameschai when they were in Amsterdam!

6. My internship didn't turned out what I hoped, but I met some great fellow students and we are having a lot of fun together.

7. Despite the bad moments my best friend has always been there for me. And I am really grateful for that!

For me 2013 had some good times and bad, but overall I am quite happy with the last year. At the other side I am also ready for 2014!

How was your 2013? Did you have a good year?

Yesterday I had my last training day for the holidays and now I have almost three! weeks off :)
This doesn't only mean that I do not have to get up super early, but it also mean that I can wear nail polish again.
I'm the kind of girl who always has her nails painted, but since I am an intern at a hospital I just can't.
Because I can not wear nail polish, I also didn't bought it lately so it's time to buy me some new festive colors. So for this I made a wishlist of colors that I think are really pretty for this time of the year.

1. Make up store: Asun €18,95

2. Ciaté: Jewellery box €16,95

3. hotmakeup: golden drops €7,95

4. O.P.I: Ckick flick cherry €12,70

5. Miss Sporty: Oh my gem 005 €1,99

5.O.P.I Pure 18k white gold & silver top coat. €41,07

This last one is kind of expensive for a student like me. So this one is not going to be in my collection, but it still think is a very pretty color.

These are some of my favorites these days, what are your favorites? I would love to have some inspiration.

Since it is already december, i would love to share my november favorites with you.

The first two things i've loved are my primark hat, from the male's section and my coat from bershka.

Another favorite thing last month and actually I still love it. Are my cacao body butter and scrub from the Body shop, they smell as it says like cacao
and if I use it in the morning I still can smell it when I have worked the whole day..

A lot of good Music came out lately, but in november I listend to timber by Pitbull and ke$ha a lot. It always makes me wanna dance.

December only just arrived and we didn’t even celebrate sinterklaas yet (Sinterklaas is a national holiday in The Netherlands comparable with Christmas). But I already did decorated my room a bit more Christmassy.
I love smelling candles, but I only have smelling tea lights..So for the first DIY I used, a ''normal'' big candle which I let burn for a while until there was a small hole where the tea light fits in perfectly.

For the first DIY
You will need:
a candle

I used a star and a heart but you can use whatever figure you want.
Draw or print your figure on a piece of paper and cut it out.
Use some tape to fasten your paper on the candle and use the glue to smear the cut out part of the paper.
Sprinkle some glitter over the glue and let it dry for a while.

To make sure the glitter will stay in place and your room will not be all messy with the glitters, you can spray some hairspray on it to fixate the glitters.

The second DIY did my mom make so I don't have any pictures about how you make it.
But I will try to explain.

She used a frame and painted it grey. Then she took two Christmas Tree pendants and used a pushpin to fixate the pendants at the back of the frame.

Did anybody made some christmas DIY? or do you have some ideas of DIY's I can make?

I really love Demi Lovato's hairstyle. The way she styles it and all those different colors she dyes her hair. And whatever color she dyes it, it all fits her perfectly. I dye my hair since i graduated from highschool when I was 16, but I always stayed close to my natural hair color which is brown. This summer I almost decided to dip dye it pink.. Well I didn't do it, so for now I just watch Demi trying some new colors :)
Anybody ever managed to achieve anything like Demi's pink or red hair color? And if you have, which kind of hair color did you use?

Yes it is really fall now..
So I changed my closet from spring/summer clothes to fall/winter clothes. And with my clothes some other stuff changed too.

Here are my favorites for fall and winter.

Warm Jumpers, scarfs and hats, to keep me warm these cold days. Cozy Socks, nothing more annoying than cold feet. Nail polishes, some darker colors for the darker days.Smelling candles, I really love vanilla and chocolat smelling candles.Lip balm, to keep my lips hydrated, I like the babylips these days. Hot chocolate, I don’t think this needs an explanation!

This product is on the market for quite a while now, but i never used it before. And because
I ran out of my cleansing gel I needed a new one. After I had spent some time in our ‘’Etos’’ I think it’s similar to ‘‘Boots’’  I decided to give this cleansing gel a go, and since the second product was for free, I also took the tonic. So here is my review about it. They’re both products for people with normal or combination skin which you can use daily. The main active ingredient of this product is the grape extract. The gel is a thick transparent gel. It smells like grape, just like it has to and foams up to leave the skin feeling clean and refreshed The tonic is like a tonic. It looks like water and smells like grape..

This is what Garnier says about the products:
This face wash is supposed to remove impurities as well as traces of make-up in order to reveal a clean and a fresh looking skin. This toner is an ideal daily way to refine and soothe skin. The skin feels softer, supple and soothed.

And this is what I think about it:
The face wash is doing exactly what Garnier says about it. It removes all the impurities as well as the traces of make-up and it leaves my skin clean and fresh. But It also makes my skin a little bit dry, and that is what I don’t really like about the product.
I always use the tonic straight after the face wash and it really does refine and soothe my skin. My skin even doesn’t feel that dry anymore.
So the combination of the face wash and the tonic is great, my skin is feeling really clean even after a couple of hours (without make-up or day cream and stuff). So yeah I think these are really fine products to use on a daily base.

For some of you this post seems a bit late, but I just went back to school last Monday so it isn’t really.
School isn’t always my favorite thing of the year, but well I have to go like at least 40 weeks so I have to make the best of it.
either way I am pretty excited since I just started as a fresh intern and till now I really liked it and I already learned a lot.
So here are my back to school, or actually back to my internship essentials. (I have to go to college once a week so I also take them with me then).

1. Backpack. I am using my Eastpak backpack until I have got a locker, because I have to take my clothes with me now. I’ve got this blue one since highschool, I think 5 years now, and I used it ever since.
2. Agenda. It’s always useful for planning school stuff or dates with your friends!
3. Notebook. I am always taking notebooks with me. I think I have like small notebooks in every bag I own, so I can write down everything that’s popping up on my mind.
4. Disinfectant gel. Just in case you want clean hands before you eat something and there is no place to wash your hands.
5. Hand cream. For nice soft hands! This one from oriflame is so good.
6. Deodorant. nobody wants to smell..
7. Perfume samples. They are way more easy to carry around in your bag instead of a whole bottle. I am using this one from DKNY now.
8. Vaseline. Winter is coming and I want to keep my lips healthy.
9. Gum.
10. Nail file. nothing is as annoying as splits on your nails
11. Face powder. So you look a little decent after a long day at school. Or in between the lessons.
12. And last but not least. A girls emergency bag. I am an intern in a hospital, so I have to wear a white uniform. My biggest fear here, is starting on my period during a service.. Or at school.
I hope you have a nice time at school or college.

A simple tank top is some kind of piece that works with almost everyting. But to give it just a little special twist, I decided to twist the straps.

This is what you need:
- a vest or tank top

- scissors
- needle and thread or a sewing machine

And this is what you have to do:

I used an old vest so first I cut off the arms. To give it some more feminine shape, I also cut off the neckline.

Than turn the inside out and cut along the shoulder seams. cut the whole seam, so the straps will be seperated.

Now twist the straps a couple times.

You can use a sewing machine or you can use a needle and thread to sew the straps together and create a new seam.

And now you're ''new'' tank top is ready

I twisted them 2 times, but you can twist them as foten as you want.

If you're going to give it a try, good luck!

Today I was wondering which make-up i would pick up first if I wake up one day and all make-up is gone. So these are the 5 items I would pick up first. I decided to only choose between items I am actually using at the moment.

1. Foundation, maybelline fit me. I don’t always use foundation, but it would be the first thing i would buy.

2. Concealer, catrice camouflage cream. A concealer is always good to have. I use it almost everyday, even without foundation.

3. Mascara, maybelline the one by one volume express mascara. Mascara just adds so much more to your face

4. Blush, catrice defining blush. Just to give my cheeks a little more color

5. Lipgloss, essence xxl shine. This one is really lovely and gives my make-up the finishing touch

It was kinda hard because 5 items are not that much.. but for me these are the most important

New month new opportunities. For me it’s just another month of working, we have had 7 days in august and I worked 6 of them.. But at the end i’ve got the money J
But since july is over, I wanted to share my July favourites.

I bought the watch almost a year ago, but I didn’t wear it a lot, because I tought it was more a summer color. So that’s why I just started wearing it, and it turns out to be perfect for summer!

Since I started to wear my hair down, about 6 years ago, I always found it boring to just leave it like that. So I wear my hair different almost everyday. Sometimes I just leave it down, but i’m also often wearing a braid a bun or I’m putting a bow in my hair. But lately I like the hair accessories like, scarfs and bando’s. I think the flower bando is really cute. And the scarf keeps my air out of my face.

I like to try different mascara’s and at this moment, the one by one volume express by mabelline is my favorite. The XXXL shine lipgloss in sparkling papaya by essence, is just a beautiful lipgloss. It gives my lips a gorgeous, pampered look and an amazing shine.
I only used the nailpolish once, because in my job I can’t wear nailpolish, but I loved it. especially for a special occasion.

My last favorite is the pure balance seasand peeling by AOK. I’ve never heard of this brand before, and I didn’t know if it was a good peeling. But I really needed a new one and in the shop this was the only one I wanted to try so I bought me this peeling. And it turned out to be great, like the name says it’s a seasand peeling and well it is the structure is just like really soft sand and I love it.

My parents and little sister are on a vacation to warm and Sunny South France. I’d loved to go there too, but.. I’m still at home watching the house. I worked all week and have to work next week so I don’t have any time to go on a vacation. And of course the weather is lovely when i’m working, but not when i’m free, nice. But while it is thundering and raining outside i have time to watch my favorite series Pretty Little Liars and to do something else I like, namely to customize my old or new clothes. Lately i’ve been searching on the internet for some quotes i love. So I decided to print some and make some new shirts. One of my favorites is, life is beautiful, so that was the first I made today.

I just like smiling, because life IS beautiful!
