I think a lot of people who read this already know, but today was a really special day for almost every Dutch person.
Our queen Beatrix, did abdication in favor of her son, prince Willem-Alexander. So from now on it is princess Beatrix and King Willem-Alexander.

We were celebrating queen’s day for many years on April 30but from next year it will be moved to
April 27 and it will no longer be called queen’s day but king’s day, wow that sounds weird…
Actually the celebrating starts the night before queen’s day with the queen’s night, unfortunately I had a late shift yesterday and an early one this morning, so I couldn’t celebrate queen’s night this year. But I did celebrate our last queen’s day and the abdication. It was a nice abdication and a beautiful first speech from our new king!
BTW I think our new queen Maxima looked amazing in her royal blue dress and cape from Jan Taminau.

Really different than all the orange people

Thank you Beatrix!

Yeay spring is finally coming to my country! The sun is shining so I took a terrace with a friend of mine, I'm not pretty shure if you say it like that in English, but this is how we say it in Dutch.. It made us really happy, because we definitely needed some sun and warmth after so many rainy days..
But besides enjoying the sun I made a decision that might change my life, or not. Well, I used to be very shy and insecure, but today I have sent my school a motivation letter for an internship abroad! I’m so excited and I really hope they approve it and that I get the opportunity to work placement in... London. Even if it’s not sure if they let me go and it’s far away, because the possibility for an abroad internship is in my last year, which is in two years, i’m already nervous. I started looking for a place to do my internship, but it’s not as easy as I hoped.. Well like I said if I’m going, I’m going in two years, so a have almost two years left to find a good place.

Is there anyone doing an internship in Londen right now? Or living there? I would love to hear how it’s to live there.

And if you’re thinking ohw how sad nobody is replying, that’s right haha

I’ve been looking for a good foundation brush for a while and after reading a lot of reviews I decided to buy the Real Techniques stippling brush by Samantha Chapman. I received it a couple of weeks ago and used it every day since. I was really excited when I received it and curious if it would work well. My little sister was like, I am happy when I got new clothes or shoes, how can you be so happy with a new brush. Well I don’t know, I just was.
Besides reading the reviews, I took a look at the Real Techniques website. This was what they said about the brush: Dual-Fiber brush is the trade secret for creating air-brushed, high definition results with all types of make up:
  • Look pixel perfect even in harsh light.
  • ultra plush, synthetic taklon bristles are hand cut and 100% cruelty free.
  • Self standing for easy storage.
  • Extended aluminium handle is light and easy to use.
I really have to clean it..

I use the brush for applying liquid foundation, but sometimes I use it for my blush as well. It blends in the foundation so well that I don’t have a noticeable color line between my cheek and the rest of my face. And I am using a lot less foundation than when I use my fingers for applying.
So for me it really works well and I’m still glad I bought it.

Intensive care & prevents split ends

This Schwarzkopf repair mask contains argan oil and shea butter wich claim to minimise split ends and impart shine and vitality to long, stressed hair. The special care formula strengthens hair from the very first use and protects against breakage. With continual use, hair has up to 95 per cent less split ends and is noticeably softer and shinier without oiliness.

This is what I think about it:
When you open the little pot, the product looks like a butter and smells nice and fresh. You have to use your fingers for scooping it out, actually that’s the only thing I don’t like about this product. It works fast, you only have to leave it in your hair for 1 minute and after I washed it out, my hair feels really soft like I’ve used a conditioner. When I start brushing my hair it feels soft and the brush gets through my hair easily. Even when I let my hair dry for a while it remains soft and it feels weightless.

But does this product reduce the splitting of your hair… in my opinion it does, of course not forever, but it slows the splitting down. Before I started using this product, my hair was splitting pretty fast after I went to the hairdresser, but now it remains in a good condition for quite a long time.
It’s been almost two months since I’ve been to the hairdresser (I’ve got a appointment today) because I wanted to make sure if the product is working.
Well let's see what the hairdresser says about my hair.
